I heard that the alminium foil is used for clean looking glasses.

I feel like you put your dishwasher on the line for us, and I appreciate that β€πŸ˜‚

Oops, been throwing my pod in the bottom of the dishwasher for a while. I’m currently running a cycle like this. 😬 Guess I’ll go back to the normal way.

  5. @catherinehiller2619 on February 10, 2025 at 7:03 pm

I place a kitchen towel completely inside of the dishwasher, top rack, on the dishes/glassware, then close the door completely for 30-60 minutes. Nice and dry.

  6. @aftekkie on February 10, 2025 at 7:06 pm

Nope to the pod in the tray. If you look closely there are holes in the lid or there’s a side tray for pre-wash. Putting the pod in the bottom allows for a better pre wash.

So people take all built in features that were especially made to solve problems and increase the performance and utility of a dishwasher and say "f*ck it" my way is better?! πŸ˜‚

  9. @HEVTech1 on February 10, 2025 at 7:10 pm

The dishwasher pods are a massive waste of money. Just buy the powder.

The best dishwasher hack I ever found and use to this day is to keep your silverware basket in the sink until you’re ready to load the dishwasher. That way there’s no guessing whether or not the dishes are clean or dirty.

I agree to all of this. I tried the foil hack twice with no difference. The tea towel hack is not necessary if the door is opened while still warm/hot and don’t want to break latches they are delicate and finally unless short washes are used tablet/pods alway in dispenser.

I put the towel on the top basket and close my dishwasher

  20. @soroh0062255 on February 10, 2025 at 7:25 pm

… The towel is meant for dishwashers that don’t have a vent or pop open. That’s literally what it’s for. You open it up and put the towel there.

  21. @rahilraza1344 on February 10, 2025 at 7:27 pm

I wish there was a button for prewash cycle we select and delselect

I moved into an apartment where the latch almost never worked for the dispenser. The landlord couldn’t solve it so they bought us a new machine.

  26. @TrueOrigins1618 on February 10, 2025 at 7:37 pm

So the hacks were to basically ignore instructions?

Loving the clean & dirty magnets πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

  28. @BreadCrispy on February 10, 2025 at 7:42 pm

In other words, use the damn washing machine the way it’s intended to be used. Stop being a dumbass

  29. @morninglight67 on February 10, 2025 at 7:44 pm

So I put my pod in the dispenser compartment but the slide door doesn’t work well as I think the pod is slightly too big. So I leave the door open rather than frustrate myself trying to keep it closed, or worse, find the door stayed closed. So too early is better than not at all.

  30. @Ama.921 on February 10, 2025 at 7:46 pm

Ok but how do I get the dishwasher to stop leaving residue of the soap on my dishes at the end of the cycle?… licking a spoon you can taste the detergent 🀒

  31. @katewallace4026 on February 10, 2025 at 7:46 pm

I need the Micheal Scott/Prison Mike magnet!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  32. @charlottemajewski5992 on February 10, 2025 at 7:48 pm

Anyone who puts my silver in a dishwasher has a death wish

  33. @karolinemathildehellan7869 on February 10, 2025 at 7:49 pm

If you use powder in stead of pods you can place most in the compartment and some loose – that way you have some sope in the first rince cycle, cleaning everything more effectivly.
( most mashines do rinse, sope cycle and then rinse – with sope in the mashine to begin with you get sope, fresh sope and then rinse)

  34. @FionaApplewright on February 10, 2025 at 7:49 pm

If you don’t care about the steam sanitizing, and just want to dry the dishes faster, open the door for literally 2 seconds to let the steam out. Shake off any high lipped pieces, like tupperware and mugs if they’ve collected water, put them back in, and close the door again to trap the remaining heat. They’ll be dry in an hour or less. But, it’s best to just let the entire cycle finish before opening, as mentioned in the video.

  35. @mish2575 on February 10, 2025 at 7:50 pm

I put the towel completely inside the last few minutes before the end and close the door. It does work for plastics that my dry cycle won’t dry.

  36. @hoorayitsjackie6166 on February 10, 2025 at 7:50 pm

I have a hack I’ve been using for years, a few drops of grapefruit essential oil before you start the load gets rid of water spots and makes everything look so clean

  37. @Kinj_Gaming on February 10, 2025 at 7:52 pm

What if you throw one pod on the floor and one in the compartment?

  38. @robinburk9901 on February 10, 2025 at 7:55 pm

I do have silver for special occasions. For every day use I use stainless steel flatware. I wash the silver by hand… no dishwasher for it. Then polished, and stored in a non-tarnish treated lined cloth box. I started using once or twice a week lately because
