I’m not able to read the reviews unless I provide my email address. All I want to do is read the reviews I don’t want to give my email address and get spammed!! Looks like I’m passing…

I love you guys. Veggie olds are BAD for humans. Please stop using it 😊

What would be best to preserve freshness and prevent spoilage of homemade pound cake and cookies being sent to troops overseas? Is there a way to use this device without collapsing a pound cake?

  6. @debmann5168 on February 10, 2025 at 7:07 pm

I really love your shows, but I wish this had included using the vacuum sealer for Mason jars with dry foods for pantry. They come with hand-held in them now and I don’t know what to buy! I want ONE sealer for freezer, refrigerator and pantry.

  7. @SteWieHTheTowel on February 10, 2025 at 7:07 pm

that nesco works when it wants to work and then will up and randomly die after a few months. NOT worth it

  8. @2corgimother on February 10, 2025 at 7:07 pm

I love my Food Saver! Most often, I put the freezer bag into a bowl of cold water and it will be ready to cook or warm in less than an hour!

  9. @midegola5623 on February 10, 2025 at 7:08 pm

i find it funny that the nesco has a warning on the front saying not to store it in the closed position, but they intentionally keep it in the closed position the whole video.

  10. @Barbara-gy9jq on February 10, 2025 at 7:09 pm

You did not mention if it has an attachment for sealing canning jars. I use my FoodSaver with the adapter for sealing jars a lot. I seal my dried herbs in jars and reseal them when I use them. I also put my nuts, and other day items in the jars to keep them fresh longer. My machine is getting old and not vacuuming as well as it used to. So am looking for a replacement. .

  11. @davethenerd42 on February 10, 2025 at 7:10 pm

I was a little disappointed with this video. I usually like to see you guys put the machines through heavy testing to see which machine would quit first. I’ve had two different vacuums and they both died suddenly for no reason, seemingly. Gently used both. It’s very difficult to know why some quit working after a month or so, and others might work for years. I’d love a deeper dive. Thanks!

That wasn’t a Review. It was an advertorial. Disappointing!

Big fan of ATK and Julia.

  14. @keithr5638 on February 10, 2025 at 7:12 pm

You can’t read their full review (which is a link in the video description) without giving them my email address. No thanks, I already get too much spam in my inbox. Pretty cheesy.

  15. @Amybnuy on February 10, 2025 at 7:12 pm

    what about botulism?
isn’t it very unsafe to vacuum seal stuff to leave on the pantry?
can you do this with cookies?

  16. @petermashak3341 on February 10, 2025 at 7:12 pm

“Oxygen sensing tabs.” No. Those are Oxygen absorbers. If you don’t know what you’re talking about, stop making videos!!🤬

Just feels like a promotion video for the web page with the full review to be read.

  21. @veronicatomas4621 on February 10, 2025 at 7:18 pm

Is a cryovac the same as a vacuum sealed? Any advice is much appreciated

  22. @JohnMartinson on February 10, 2025 at 7:18 pm

Does the Nesco come with a hose attachment? Are FoodSaver hose attachments compatible? Where can I get the hose attachments that are compatible with the Nesco? Thanks!

  23. @johnbrandolini2915 on February 10, 2025 at 7:18 pm

Congrats creating an informative video strictly for the Nesco vacuum sealer. It was helpful for viewers not to be distracted by the irrelevant features of the other brands. After all who needs to be bothered with a fair comparison, right? That said I use a Foodsaver FM2100 vacuum sealer. It has a storage compartment with a cutter for creating custom bags from a roll. The door handle has 3 positions: lock when sealing, unlock, and storage which secures the door but doesn’t compress the seal. It has 3 modes of operation: seal which will activate the heat bar without a vacuum being pulled so a bag can be created, moist for vacuum sealing wet food, and dry for everything else. It also has an accessory port for sealing Mason jars and using proprietary sealable containers. With a full roll in the storage compartment it weighs under 6 lbs and has a small footprint which means it doesn’t take up a lot of counter or storage space. I have been using a vacuum sealer for years and my first one was a simple sealer with no roll storage. It lasted about a decade before I replaced it with the FM2100. I had the Foodsaver FM2100 for about 3 months and was quite happy with it until the heat bar failed. I contacted the company and they replaced it overnight without charge. This unit cost $140 at WalWart and, imo, has already paid for itself by allowing me to pack and preserve our favorite produce when on sale or in season. What’s even nicer about their bags is that veggies like asparagus or corn on the cob can be steamed in the bag in the microwave once you break the seal and add a little water.

  24. @bobk888 on February 10, 2025 at 7:19 pm

no results for the other units? sounds like a sales pitch for nesco. this was 5 mins that i will never get back.

  25. @patram4880 on February 10, 2025 at 7:23 pm

Vac master vp230 the best $1000 chamber vac just like store brought

  26. @debmann5168 on February 10, 2025 at 7:24 pm

I also want to know that the bags are PFAS and BPA free.

  27. @Redd_504 on February 10, 2025 at 7:26 pm

    Meat breath😂

  28. @marilynpyse4214 on February 10, 2025 at 7:27 pm

Does the Nesco gone with a vacuum to seal jars?

  29. @dosquintoiuos on February 10, 2025 at 7:29 pm

I need it for perfumes (in 50ml and 100ml sizes- I have never used these machines, do not care about yhem beyond sealing perfumes- will probably use the machine 1 or 2 times and I need something FOOL proof that has good suction

  30. @mikeschneider901 on February 10, 2025 at 7:30 pm

NO mention of the ANOVA sealer?!?!?!?!? It’s a beautiful bit of kit. I take mine out of the box, make my bag from the roll then put my product in then and seal. If it’s something really soft I’ll freeze it for a few then vac/seal it. I think it was $55 a few years ago.

  31. @theoversouls on February 10, 2025 at 7:31 pm

I’m a fanatic about these and love my Nesco after 3 years or so of use. Foodsaver and a couple of others I’ve owned were just terrible.

  32. @sandraflint-j6t on February 10, 2025 at 7:32 pm

I have a foodsaver love it but I think it is on its last leg I have had it 17 years use it a lot I am going to buy the buy the one that the test kitchen tested

  33. @BradiKal61 on February 10, 2025 at 7:32 pm

Both the vacuum sealers Ive owned came from resale shops. You can buy the replacement gaskets which people don’t tend to replace and just get rid of the unit

  34. @AdrienneBoswell on February 10, 2025 at 7:33 pm

Well, I just bought the winning vacuum sealer, and let me tell you what a joy it is. My old one, also a NESCO, breathed its final breath just before Thanksgiving. It was six years old and very frequently used. I know this new one will last just as long, if not longer. Great machine!

  35. @TheQuietRiot on February 10, 2025 at 7:38 pm

Wow…the depth of testing is truly incredible. I can’t tell you how many kitchen products I’ve got based on these recommendations.

  38. @Max_Maximus_69 on February 10, 2025 at 7:44 pm

Honestly, these equipment reviews with Adam are getting lamer and lamer, the two ladies do a better job IMO. That being said, the Foodsaver is the way to go, cheaper too.

  39. @Phlegethon on February 10, 2025 at 7:45 pm

The straw kind of got me 😂

  40. @sandraflint-j6t on February 10, 2025 at 7:45 pm

Before I seal anything, I put it in the freezer bag fold it down and put it in the freezer overnight. I have found if the meat is frozen or semi frozen you get a much better seal and you don’t have to worry about so much liquid going into the machine like I did some steaks today I bought them yesterday put them in the freezer overnight, pulled them out this morning the vacuum and sealed them. They were not as hard as a rock so what I do is I take a paper towel and I put it inside the bag towardthe top but lower than where I’m going to seal and that paper towel will absorb all the moisture that could prevent my back from ceiling properly a trick I learned from someone a long time ago and it still works well for me

  41. @JustinKais on February 10, 2025 at 7:46 pm

Nesco POS didn’t last one year. How much did they pay you to make it a "winner"?

  42. @jeffdege4786 on February 10, 2025 at 7:49 pm

I prefer the siphon sealers. Don’t need special bags.

  43. @Fabian-dk4pq on February 10, 2025 at 7:49 pm

Which is the best for container? Most of them have their own container but don’t work with otheres. Which is the one that works with other containers as well?

  44. @oscarc7853 on February 10, 2025 at 7:50 pm

    Mine lasted three years

  45. @flkayak5613 on February 10, 2025 at 7:51 pm

Was this a review or a commercial???

  46. @ReddogDave on February 10, 2025 at 7:53 pm

My mother gave me a (then $60) FoodSaver 20 years ago. It was great when it worked but a pain when it didn’t. It would start sucking but not create enough vacuum to trigger the sealer. In the process it would squeeze moisture out of the bag. I’d have to tear it apart, clean it, etc. I finally donated it and bought a cheaper $30 one on Amazon. It died a year later. I next replaced it with a $20 generic on Amazon. The new one has both a manual vacuum button and a manual seal button in addition to the automatic controls. It is slow, but does a better job than the FoodSaver or the other one I bought that died a year later.

  47. @Organsk8er on February 10, 2025 at 7:56 pm

Can confirm. We bought this based on the ATK recommendation and have not been disappointed!

America loves you !!…. I have watched a very long time . Stay there !!!

  49. @MAC-ws8fz on February 10, 2025 at 7:59 pm

I just did this…If you have the storage bags, just use your household vacuum (Hoover?) to take ALL the air out! ALSO, before vacuuming the bags, clean the bag grooves with soapy water or alcohol. Further,, maybe one of those small vacuum machines used for cleaning computer keyboards!? Stop, no need to Thank Me…I’m just doing what a man does…showing women the correct ways!
