Adam I have a question I bought the smart food scale I don’t think it’s calculating right one egg says 85 calories the box of the eggs says 70 what do you think I should do am I doing it wrong

How do you get decimals for grams?

  3. @JustGeorgeGG on February 10, 2025 at 7:16 pm

Do you need to have a subscription on the app to use this feature?

I’m not sure what you mean by "generic". The app from this scale is using recognized calories for food stored in a database just like any "generic" food in MyFitnessPal or MacroFactor. It’s not some magically more accurate… the nutrition info in the database was gathered from somewhere, the scale is not intuiting the calories and macros itself.

There’s literally ZERO reason to buy this “smart” scale. Any basic food scale + a decent nutrition app does the same thing and better. Some apps like Cronometer even scan your food automatically, so why pay for a gadget that still forces you to type “blueberries”? All it’s doing is typing the grams in for you, but since you still needed to type "blue berries" why not just type the number in too?

Kudos to the marketing team for making such an underwhelming product seem innovative.

I resisted tracking my food for a long time because I thought it was going to be a PITA but started loosing muscle so I bought this so I can track exactly what my macro intake is. I LOVE THIS SCALE AND APP. Its so easy to use. You can set your own macro goals or the scale will set them for you based on some questions. It can even create a complete meal plan for you. Its super easy to add food and find food using the scanner. It would be nice if it logged the time of day of the meal but I can live with that. Its hands down IMO the best 40 bucks you can spend for your health.

All the negative reviews says it’s slow and inaccurate and battery life is trash. Is this true?
