Never under $100 and the unit has a leakage problem.
So they really only focused on the bonvonito coffee maker , I bet you it won’t last like the mr. Coffee brand does. No thanks on the bonvonito I’m staying with mr coffee.

Old review, but wouldn’t it be nice to have the recipe you used for testing? Or is that asking two much. Include a list of machines you did test. I have grown tired of these info reviews, glossing over the whole thing. You remind me of Consumer Reports. Stop taking that magazine because the real review can be found on-line, more $$$.
I’ve had either a Black & Decker or Mr. Coffee machine for most of my adult life, and they always lasted around 5 years or so before needing replacement, the coffee was always good, and I never paid more than $40 for either of them.
$94??? Where? It’s listed by the manufacturer at $180 (when it’s in stock) and the Amazon link in the description has it for $259.
funny, every time ATK does one of these videos the price goes up. It’s not 94 bucks anymore, try $150.00
That Bonavita makes some of the best coffee I’ve ever had. But it’s an absolute piece of junk. DON’T DO IT!

The Bonavita BV1900TS is $170. Makes very good coffee (my roommate had one). The metal carafe cools the coffee several degrees immediately, unless you heat up the carafe first with hot water. The filter basket sits on top of the carafe, rather than being attached to the water head. Once your coffee is done, you pull out the carafe, lift off the filter basket, and screw on the carafe lid. There is not enough room to put the filter basket back in place once the lid is on. This means you have to leave the basket sitting on top of the coffee maker or on top of your counter, which looks ugly. Or you can store the basket in a cupboard somewhere.

BonaVita are unfortunately garbage. I went through two of them in a short period of time. They experienced the same problem of just not starting when I turned them on. And they were $150 each. Alot more than the one they had in this review however mine had a heating element to keep coffee hot, not the thermal carafe.
I thought this was an INEXPENSIVE coffee maker video, these are far from that. Can you please try again for under $100?
My simple Mister Coffee maker is the best most definitely the best most better coffee maker in all existence. All the other coffee makers are just plain silly.
As of August 2024 this coffee machine sell for $189.95 on Amazon.
I would pay $100 for one and not a penny more but not $200..not a chance!

Sorry to be the voice of dissent. I thought it made OK coffee, but after almost three years, it is failing even after ensuring it is kept clean and descaling. Also, the coffee only stayed hot for about an hour in the carafe and the lack of a "brew through" lid was annoyingly inconvenient. Wouldn’t buy it again. Maybe ATK should update their tests. They have no trouble changing recommendations on a lot of other products every few years…just saying
Pour over. Cheapest and best. Way less than $100.

The Bonavita does make great coffee. You don’t realize how crappy other coffee makers are until you have one that brews coffee properly. It’s night and day.

The Bonavita cost more than the Ninja and it doesn’t even have a clock so you can set the timer and then goes off after 2 hours so it doesn’t burn your house down. Why would they push a coffee maker than just has an on and off button and stays on forever. Didn’t even tell the buyer if it shuts off automatically to prevent fires.
