I made this, but my mixture was dry and in the end did not rise much. I’ve never used almond flour before and in the recipe it had " 1 1/2 cups almond flour, * measured correctly"…..I could not find the * footnote. Did I pack my measuring cup too tightly when measuring the almond flour or something else?
SHE put no oil in it.
And I’m wondering why she didn’t use baking powder.
All those egg whites makes is a sponge cake, doesn’t it?

Im not sure what i did wrong but my cake turned out dry.
I made it today. I didn’t have white sugar, so I used brown organic sugar. The sweetness was good- not too sweet, just enough. Mine came out a bit dry and flat. The taste is good though, I would make it again.

Just made it and it’s moist and soft and delicious. Thanks Natasha for this simple and delicious recipe. A few tweaks I made were using coconut sugar and orange zest – an idea I picked from another reviewer as I too did not have any lemons at home.
