RECIPE LINK: CREAM! Fatter the Better
2 cups /473 ml of heavy cream will produce approximately 1/2 pound of delicious butter!
1 lbs/ 453 g butter will make 11.5 ounces /333 ml of liquid clarified butter
About salt, you can add it at any time and how much really depends on your taste! If you add the salt before the wash some of it will wash off but most of it will stay in. Add a little at first and you can always add more! Good luck and Bon Appetit!!! 😊

This was a nice video and I love knowing how to make things. BUT… I’m assuming that most of the commenters are American? Because in the UK a litre of double cream is going to cost you about £3.50 whereas 250g of butter costs you £2 or less. And it’s pretty good. So unless you are passionate about home made or end up with heaven-on-your-toast you’ve spent time, effort and twice as much money as you’d pay to just buy the butter.

The way he wiggles his fingers and says “butter” and “Cream” and “you see”. Sold me immediately 🏅

About 10 yrs ago when I was playing around with this and other things like kefir…I went to a small local farm here in NH. They sell CSA and other stuff. And one thing is heavy cream. She showed me the machine that removes the cream and I was amazed. The cream she sell is totally unlike the store. You can’t pour it! it’s a thick fat and boy does it taste good. So I buy two jars of it. Throw it in my vitamix and in 40 seconds I have butter/buttermilk. Only problem I has was removing the buttermilk. Should of had a sock filter like used in beer brewing for the pelletized hopps. Would of been much easier to remove the buttermilk. But overall the butter cam out really good. It was bright yellow as opposed to the store brands. The cows were free range and didn’t eat corn. It was loaded with beta carotene (the yellow) and Vitamin K2. Where beta carotene is found in fat therein lies VK2 also.

I make butter from my fresh cow cream. Takes me less than 5 minutes to butter my fresh bread.

Thus is the true knowledge one should learn. You have to think. If most people now days could not survive 3 days in the wild, when our ancestors survived millenias with very little to what we have today. Is the knowledge they are teaching you the correct knowledge you should know, or are they just manipulating you to rely on souly them. Godbless all amen.💖🙏😇🙏💖

Here is impossible to find fresh whipping cream
It seems to be only UHT
    living on the Canary Islands
I used to find in an English store
    They stopped importing it
    Crazy sad but true.
    😢

  16. @mikibawa4232 on February 10, 2025 at 7:14 pm

To make delicious heavenly golden ghee, just cook this wonderful butter in a pan on low heat for 15-20 minutes .😊. The golden residue is Ghee( clarified butter)

When is best time to add the salt?

  19. @heatherdebevec3201 on February 10, 2025 at 7:16 pm

I agree home made butter is relatively easy, versatile, and you know what’s in it good

  20. @BLUEHORIZON-g2b on February 10, 2025 at 7:17 pm

In this process, when is it that you add the salt please ?

  21. @brahmeshvaram2862 on February 10, 2025 at 7:18 pm

THANKS, GREAT, EXCEPT THAT ACCORDING TO THE VEDIC SPIRITUAL TRADITION, SALT SHOULD NEVER BE PUT IN BUTTER, BECAUSE THERE IS TOO MUCH CONTRAST BETWEEN THEIR ENERGETIC NATURES – PURE BUTTER IS TOO PURE FOR THE SALT, SALT IS TOO IMPURE FOR THE BUTTER. SALT IS GOOD, IMPORTNAT, AND NECESSARY, BUT IT IS NOT IN THE SAME CLASS OF PURITY AS BUTTER.

We just put raw milk in a jar and shook it till it made butter 10:36

  24. @Essential-Nuggets on February 10, 2025 at 7:20 pm

Thanks. I just tried it and it came out great! Thanks. I used a quart of heavy whipping cream (32 oz) and it made 14.3oz of butter and a half quart of buttermilk. I think if I had a heavier fat content I could have gotten 1 lb of butter. But I could only find 36% fat.

    Thank you 🇺🇦

  29. @slgpph on February 10, 2025 at 7:27 pm

In first grade, my teacher brought in an old butter churn and we made our own whipped cream and butter for Thanksgiving and each kid took their turn churning the cream until it thickened. It was a great way to teach young kids and it’s a shame schools don’t do this anymore.

  30. @shadowcivilian9942 on February 10, 2025 at 7:28 pm

You can also shake it in a container. Glass, plastic, metal and such

  31. @williampeterson4416 on February 10, 2025 at 7:29 pm

Should have used the paddle attachment after it reached the whipped cream stage.

The comment section on how to make butter is so fun and nostalgic. I envy those adults who have fond memories of doing kitchen chores such as making butter! The world is so full of distractions now, and parents often want their kids OUT of the kitchen! Haha! I will try to tell my mother to make butter tomorrow, but big chance she’ll tell me it’s a waste of money! Since I will use up the cream we have and we already have store brought butter!
