Perfectly Salted DIY Roasted Almonds {Seriously The Best} – AnOregonCottage.com

Perfectly Salted DIY Roasted Almonds – AnOregonCottage.com

I don’t make these DIY roasted almonds because they are any healthier or ‘real food’ than the basic roasted nuts you can buy.

No, I make these because they taste amazing. And they do save me a couple dollars (and we all eat a lot of nuts around here, so it adds up). But most importantly they taste amazing.

Really, I had no idea there would be such a difference between home-roasted almonds and store-bought! And it’s not just me – everyone I serve them to agrees, too. I’ve had guests be so surprised that they *had* to go back for seconds – and thirds.

Your written recipe says bake 15 minutes stirring half way. The video says 8 minutes. I believe 15 is correct? Can’t wait to to make these. We don’t get good roasted almonds in Norway.

Hi, I can’t thank you enough since this is the best recipe I have ever come across. Initially I tried almonds but later I tried with the cashews. Until now I have made it countless times. It so closely mimics the roasted salted cashews from Kirkland that I have stopped buying them now. I bake it for almost 15 min. (as mentioned in your recipe link) with a stir at around 8 min. I follow your measurements exactly but the only change I have made is to omit the salt post baking & reduce the oil to half. I have tried without oil as well & it does taste good.

I’m confused about “add salt and oil”. I didn’t see how you added the salt. Is it mixed with the oil or just mixed into the nuts?

I will try this almond recipe after my trip to Costco. Will this same recipe also work with walnuts? Adding brine to the nuts is a good idea. Thank you for this video.

Try to buy almonds from anywhere but South America – Rainforest is leveled to grow the trees – Brazil claims that is illegal but they allow it for the almighty $
