  2. @TryGod7 on February 10, 2025 at 7:03 pm

Great video! I do want to mention that, when purging your pantry, If anything is unopened and not expired, why not donate it? I usually end up with a bag of things and take them to a place that feeds the homeless.

  3. @feliciacardone8900 on February 10, 2025 at 7:03 pm

It looks great. I decided to rearrange mine last year. It is a great feeling when it is done. It’s a pain to do, like you said, the getting rid of things! I had so many Ritz😅 thanks for the motivation and ideas.

I also use the tiered shelf for my spices. I found it helpful to write on the lids the contents of the bottles so I can easily know what is in them without taking the several of the bottles out.

  10. @tgayer1 on February 10, 2025 at 7:12 pm

I love old mason jars and I actually use them for storing granola, chocolate treats, oatmeal, and chia seeds in my cupboard. I don’t have a pantry, but it makes me happy to see these jars. I did treat myself to some of the wooden Ball mason jar lids from Amazon, though!

We have a family member with an alzheimers like thing.
I watched some psychology videos on caring for someone. Number one tip we found helpful is to divert attention with another subject instead of arguing, telling them something is not true. For example, he tell you he needs the car keys to drive down to the game. Instead of saying there is no game (and you didn’t drive last week – it’s been months) you say, oh
Look who is coming over – wouldn’t you like to see this person? (But only if someone really is coming over). It’s hard, and I am just trying to say one thing that helps me.

  16. @LindaParra-kr4kl on February 10, 2025 at 7:17 pm

Can you please help those of us that have a deep pantry space? I don’t have shelves that are long and I have tried everything to try and see my items better. I haven’t found one yet. Help, please.

  18. @GoddessJ-fs2cw on February 10, 2025 at 7:18 pm

I think clear containers are ridiculous especially for cereal. No cereal boxes look the same! All cereal boxes have a photo of the cereal. Those just make me think more to wash.

  19. @DAVESGIRL830 on February 10, 2025 at 7:21 pm

Yup. When I cleaned out & reorganized my pantry 4 years ago, I thought “oh I’ll take a weekend to do it”. Ha! That weekend turned into about 5 weeks! In my defense, I moved back to my childhood home and my parents left some stuff behind and it was a mess in there. There was a can of pineapples that had DISINTEGRATED in the back corner. We also had a mouse and I couldn’t function knowing it may have gotten into stuff. That is what triggered the clean out. I’m still traumatized! I also went full scale decanting because of the mouse having a field day in a few packages of ramen. Some feel it’s a waste of time & money, but for me, it’s a necessity.

  20. @leah1146 on February 10, 2025 at 7:21 pm

Loved this and very realistic! Your attitude is lovely and your laughter is so warm!

  21. @inspiteofbecauseof4745 on February 10, 2025 at 7:24 pm

Great job and tips. I like to use “containers” I already have first (usually boxes, containers, jars etc.) I live with those reused items until I know what works and doesn’t for the items I typically keep on hand in the pantry. Then as I see better/prettier containers on sale I get them.

  22. @beckyprice1098 on February 10, 2025 at 7:25 pm

Inspired me. I organized my pantry. 👍

  23. @SmallSpoonBrigade on February 10, 2025 at 7:26 pm

For the corners, you can get a kidney shaped lazy susan. I’m not sure why they call it kidney shaped as it looks to me like a pizza that’s had 1/4 of it removed as slices. But, it fits in the corner and you can rotate it to get to the stuff in the very back. I also like D shaped lazy susans that can be used even if they’re wider than the shelf allows without going over the edge or being hit by a cabinet door.

  26. @robertobrien4799 on February 10, 2025 at 7:27 pm

I set aside expired can goods for my last ditch effort/assisting the un prepared.

  27. @alj770 on February 10, 2025 at 7:27 pm

I don’t have shelves in my pantry — I have two narrow cabinets with shelves. I use one for food and the other for household supplies and hardware. But it desperately needs that "purge" you are talking about . . .

  28. @LorraineSutton-nq4xe on February 10, 2025 at 7:28 pm

  29. @debranichols5049 on February 10, 2025 at 7:28 pm

My pantry is half the size of yours. I appreciate your tips!

  30. @americafirst9144 on February 10, 2025 at 7:28 pm

Canned foods don’t actual "expire." The dates on them are "best by" dates. Acidic foods like tomatoes, canned pasta and pineapple can start to leak, so throw them away shortly after the best buy date. Tomato based soups. I’ve even had peaches leak.

Things like green beans can get mushy and discolored. They’ll still be good for about 9 months after the date.

Canned meat lasts the longest. Quality will start to detoriate about 2 years after the date.

  31. @LorraineSutton-nq4xe on February 10, 2025 at 7:30 pm

This is the third pantry things that came through… so yes it is time I tackled my kitchen pantry.. yes it has been a few years.. yes years! Last time I had a friend help me. Oh my she did not think like I do so it quickly became a mess…LOL. I still have a baking side and a meal side. That is about as clear as it is.

  37. @STCAEL1 on February 10, 2025 at 7:39 pm

You are so realistic! Thank you ! We feel less guilty !

  38. @VoodooAngel63 on February 10, 2025 at 7:39 pm

We made a pantry of our coat closet. I did buy inexpensive clear plastic bins so my family can see everything AND I labeled what was in them. I did really general organization so people can figure out where to put things. This is hard for me because I’m a micro organizer. But it’s been 6 months and it’s still neat and working for us.

  39. @natashagregoire9917 on February 10, 2025 at 7:42 pm

I have a tiny pantry …less than half the size of yours but its nice to see a “small” pantry organization video! We are a family of 5, I have a small galley style kitchen so also very limited counter space , I bought an ikea Kallax cabinet, added legs to it so it gave me an extra counter top for my toaster, bread box and coffee machine,I also got the doors for it so I can keep my canned goods, baggies, plastic and foil wrap in it. Got some lazy Susan’s at the dollar store ($4 instead of$20 on Amazon/walmart :p) I use them for my spices and also have some in the fridge for pickles, olives, salad dressing, ketchup etc I also love the bigger glass jars from ikea for cookies/rice/dry beans etc they are super affordable, large and keep dried good fresh 🙂

One of the best, if not the best realistic pantry organization thanks for sharing 💖 I am going to organize my mine literally right now 😹

  41. @rhondataylor6911 on February 10, 2025 at 7:44 pm

How do you organize a corner pantry that has a narrow cabinet door. It is deep in the corner area, so things get lost. The “side” corners of the triangle are either not accessible because of trying to be able to utilize the center depth, or make utilizing the center area out of the question. It is also not as large as your “small” pantry, it is a cabinet. I’ve been fighting with this pantry for 26 years. The last thing I tried was very large lazy susans, but things in the center get lost and family members will go buy an item that they “couldn’t find” because it wasn’t easy to see it.

  42. @laurahall1807 on February 10, 2025 at 7:46 pm

Awesome vid! Refreshing to see a realistic organized pantry!

  43. @jcalexander5530 on February 10, 2025 at 7:49 pm

My hubby is the same way, he needs to see what we have, even just a bit of it.

  44. @SBL1932 on February 10, 2025 at 7:51 pm

Very realistic. In my opinion it looks much better them most others and is definitely more serviceable

  45. @doloresbutler3 on February 10, 2025 at 7:51 pm

You did a fantastic job. Where did you get your canisters?

  46. @lizharley5723 on February 10, 2025 at 7:54 pm

That’s a lot of money thrown away.

  47. @DeniseHill-zw2ez on February 10, 2025 at 7:54 pm

Great ideas with sizing and lower baskets but matching baskets could be functional and aesthetically pleasing.

  50. @Deeplyrooteddj on February 10, 2025 at 7:58 pm

You spent too much time talking about other people. Just do you.
