Perhaps my oven is off but thermometer says it’s ok. 350 way too low. 400/425 worked for me.
Tried microwave option. At least Finnish paper towels get stuck to bacon, so no go.
Also, I tried with Max and 750w setting and bacon popped like popcorn and microwave was a mess. Lot’s of cleaning to do.
And microwave and plate was really hot and full of steam.
I will stick to more traditional ways to cook my bacon.
GREAT content 👌
No way microwave bacon is horrible what is he talking about
What was the main difference (particularly in taste) between the oven bacon and the microwave bacon? They looked to be virtually the same and you seemed to like both the same but gave the microwave version a 4 out of 5. Yet the microwave takes a significantly shorter amount of time than the oven version. Surely, that deserves a higher grade for the convenience.
Bacon is the butter of meat.
You didn’t fry any bacon using water. Using water actually makes the best tasting bacon and the meat portion is more tender than frying without water. The water controls the temperature for a slower longer cook and results in more tender meat.
"I’ve let it heat up for 3-5 minutes." "There’s no pre-heating".
come on guys.
Parchment paper in the oven the best
Yum
Chef Frank has tips on how to carve a whole roast chicken, too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owUitkVtubk
For a Chef this guy is pretty clueless about pan frying bacon — You slice the package in half – shorter pieces do not curl up… never cook on high heat
Traegar grill at 275….crisp and tasty. No greasy flavors
I learned a long time ago that you can definitely not propane grill bacon. Big fire.
I love the oven.
It’s not grease splatters; it’s bacon kisses
I have found if I cut the rashers in half, they don’t curl up at the ends, they will stay flat in the pan.
What about an air fryer??
Best chef ever – but bacon little piglets are not on my menu.
I cut the pack in half to get more useful pieces which are easier to wrangle. When done in the oven, I immediately microwave them to coax out more oil. I put a 1 quart Ziploc in a wide-mouth canning jar and fill it, sucking the air out to prevent freezer burn. It keeps in the freezer forever and I can quickly rejuvenate it in exactly the amount I need, with the microwave. I use a fortune in paper towels though.
We do our bacon in the air fryer. Comes out fantastic
Don’t pull ya meat before breakfast 😂
I like using a griddle
Roll the whole package of bacon before you open it. The bacon will come apart real easy
I’ve did it on my traeger grill(There isn’t an open flame those that have one will know what I mean). That works really well, and no mess. Grease srips down into the bucket that hangs on the end of the grill.
You said “don’t mess with it” then you messed with it😂
No one has been faking it till he makes it as long as frank
Bad info.
Microwave get 4 and skillet get a 2??? Haha… really? Who is this guy?
Still have my parents early 70’s era Westinghouse upright electric bacon grille. It’s in great shape as its seldom used but it makes great bacon. Bacon quality wise, it’s a 5, but cleanup is a 1.
Bringing up the level of the pan? Wtf is this dude smoking
350 for 15 min def does NOT make crispy bacon
Honestly this video revolutionized how I cook bacon! I never thought to bake it in the oven!
Hmm, not sure about the oven method. 15 minutes wasn’t long enough and it doesn’t cook evenly unless you flip it halfway through – took me over half an hour in the end.
Microwave method seems nice
Canadians call bacon “bacon” it’s not “American bacon”. The majority of us do not eat “back bacon” as Franky boy laughingly calls it “Canadian Bacon”
Some Americans eat possum and squirrels. Canadians are educated enough to know not all of you do.
Thick-cut smoked bacon, in air fryer at 200°C (392°F) for 8 minutes, under a chef’s press. Laid on sliced, buttered and lightly toasted rosemary focaccia or potato & rosemary bread with your choice of ketchup, brown sauce or mustard. Delish!
I use an electric griddle. Start cold, season with granulated garlic and fresh ground black pepper, I also use the thick cut or steak cut bacon and a bacon press. Just fyi😊
Was hoping he showed the sheet pan method. It’s all I do now to avoid cleaning the entire top of my stove . A little trial and error and use a quality cut of bacon and ya can’t go wrong

The second you rated microwaved bacon over pan-fried bacon, you lost all credibility as a chef and a human being.
I love to cook THIN cute bacon because I want the whole piece to crunch!!!😊
First he says to leave it alone, then he says to tend to it. Huh?
350 for 15 minutes?!? try 400 for 25 min… at least.
The less cleaning, the less tending…the better.
Wrapped in wet paper towels, microwaved bacon is perfect.
i just tried this method. the taste of the bacon is very bad. it is not tasty at all. i will never try this again. But i’m happy i tried it once.
None of these. Grill it outside. Always better.
I am kind of done with parchment paper. Its swimming in pfas. You know the forever chemical. Not a fan!
That’s cooking bacon, NOT MAKING IT
