My sink needed cleaning, and I knew you’d help me do it right! So I looked this up, and when you mentioned cleaning the underside of the faucet, I thought, “Oh! I should be cleaning that, shouldn’t I!” Because I don’t think I’ve ever thought of it, in three years of having it. 😳🫣 It was DISGUSTING. Like, horrifying. But, no more—now it’s nice and clean! Thank you so much for these complete, concise videos!

I like my " Gumption Multi Purpose Cleanser " as my sink cleaner, my Clark sink is now 44yrs old now and still as shiny as new 👍 Au

You know what else makes sink fixtures shine: food grade lubricant

Loved every second of this! What’s the secret to getting results like these?

  8. @koraspeaks1078 on February 10, 2025 at 7:01 pm

How often do you clean your sink

  9. @Marie-ly3kj on February 10, 2025 at 7:01 pm

Just wanted to pop in and shout a big "Thank you" from me for your channel. I now have scrub Mommies and Daddy’s (love them! )
I actually managed to find Bar Keeper’s friend, the cream, and the powder, which was a real challenge for me in the back end of nowhere in rural Ireland. Total game changer You are the "Bee’s Knees". Thank you

Mine looks dirty and dull the minute water hits it after taking the effort & time cleaning & polishing it. It’s brand new so I’m convinced the quality of ss is crap now compared to years ago

  11. @spencer34716 on February 10, 2025 at 7:06 pm

I fill up the sink with hot water, add 1/4 cup bleach and let it sit for 15 min. Drain, wipe, rinse.

The barkeepers friend looks like the cooktop cleaner I use to clean my glass top stove.

  14. @maxbartram2040 on February 10, 2025 at 7:10 pm

I love your videos! What do you recommend for disinfecting a stainless steel sink?

  15. @engineerncook6138 on February 10, 2025 at 7:10 pm

I just use BKF on my SS sink. Why both with Powerwash first?

  16. @DavLeyAli on February 10, 2025 at 7:12 pm

After I have deep cleaned my sink which I do weekly, I finish it with my stainless steel cleaner that I use for my fridge and stove. It really makes it shine and helps to repel the water spots etc in between cleaning. I have only used Bar Keepers friend for a while now and I feel there is no need to use Dawn Power wash at least for my sinks. Greetings from Canada. 🇨🇦

  17. @GalaxyGax on February 10, 2025 at 7:12 pm

    Thank you 🙏🏻 😊

  18. @lindafreudiger8022 on February 10, 2025 at 7:13 pm

You should really fold back the garbage disposal flaps. You’d be SURPRISED at what’s under those flaps! So Gross!

  19. @MrTraceuser on February 10, 2025 at 7:13 pm

first you need to roll up your sleeves HELLO

  20. @alext8828 on February 10, 2025 at 7:20 pm

Bar Keeper’s Friend is great, but when you buy the liquid squeeze the bottom of the container to make sure it hasn’t gone solid. I think if they stand on the shelf for too long, that’s what happens. The dry powder should be protected from moisture when stored. It too can harden in the bottom. Great stuff, go buy some now!

  21. @engineerncook6138 on February 10, 2025 at 7:21 pm

The black rubber insert in my garbage disposer is removable and can get pretty nasty with grease buildup and biofilm. I just run it through a dishwasher cycle on the top rack. The hot water, surfactants, enzymes and alkali in dishwasher detergent leave do the job.

  22. @sharpenwithcheryl9533 on February 10, 2025 at 7:22 pm

    1. Clear the sink & rinse.
    2. Degrease with dish soap.
    3. Rinse with a damp microfiber towel.
    4. Scrub with Bar Keepers Friend.
    5. Detail the garbage disposal.
    6. Rinses thoroughly.
    7. Descale the faucet.
    8. Buff with a dry towel.

  23. @kellyhiller3977 on February 10, 2025 at 7:22 pm

I put baby oil in at the end. Not too much, just enough to shine

  24. @user-mi3pv7ql4g on February 10, 2025 at 7:22 pm

Are you paid by scrub daddy?
    Soft scrub.

  25. @amya9597 on February 10, 2025 at 7:24 pm

I love Bar Keepers Friend as well. I was surprised when I saw another YouTuber use a stainless wool pad to clean her kitchen sink. You would think that would scratch the heck out of it. 😬

  26. @masterfactchecker5541 on February 10, 2025 at 7:25 pm

I have an expression about Dawn anything.
.Great on Ducks..on dishes it sucks,’
    I agree on BKF ,’

  32. @roseismil6142 on February 10, 2025 at 7:33 pm

what is all the cleaning products you used ?

  33. @dfw6558 on February 10, 2025 at 7:33 pm

Will this technique work on an all sink?
Every time I try cleaning my kitchen sink it looks like it’s never been cleaned
I think the previous owners who lived here didn’t take good care of it
We’ve been in our home for almost two years

  34. @incognito595 on February 10, 2025 at 7:34 pm

I would NEVER use the same sponge to clean that top part of the sink, basin, and handles, that I used for the drainage hole. Ever. GROSS. In fact, I would use a clean scrubber just for the handles, a clean one for the basin, and Definitely a separate one for the drainage hole. I would throw the last one away immediately.

  35. @PT_911 on February 10, 2025 at 7:35 pm

I used to clean 5 star accommodation – and broke records within the company for number of clients who requested they only send me back. Two cloth system is a must. For anything except floors, pure white vinegar in a spray bottle. Glass, stone, timber tops. Two clothes, as well as paper towels (or s roll of good quality toilet paper) for specifically dirty spots.

To polish stainless steel – a few drops of baby oil on a clean dry cloth.

No need for gloves, expensive cleaning products or fumes.

Maintaining separation between the clean and soiled areas (and cloths) is the key. And not 🚫 over doing it with any liquids!

If yiu are getting streaking, too much moisture (including the oil).

Great channel though mate, always good to see how others are doing it. Great presentation skills, and tidy affiliate links to helo you cover your costs!

  36. @engineerncook6138 on February 10, 2025 at 7:35 pm

CLR is great stuff, but some new shower heads and sink sprayers are made of a rubber-like material. To clean them, I flex the nipples with moderate pressure using the rounded handle of a toothbrush which cracks the hardwater deposits to they can easily be brushed off of flushed out.

  37. @michy2630 on February 10, 2025 at 7:36 pm

Tonight i used the powder Bar keepers & scrib daddy with a little water. Worked great. Great video

  38. @suranggettinger1778 on February 10, 2025 at 7:36 pm

    Thank you 🙏 👍🥰

  39. @sudl963 on February 10, 2025 at 7:37 pm

I always make sure to dry the water from the sink after every use, that what makes my sink look like new

  40. @rimabohsali6276 on February 10, 2025 at 7:37 pm

in another video you mentioned that in the kitchen you use scrub mommy

  41. @rock-n-john1272 on February 10, 2025 at 7:37 pm

A simple 1 product, Ajax. Scrub it down, wipe off dry, beautiful shine. I can buy it at the dollar tree. 2 minutes, beautiful. I would NEVER spend all that time, and all those products, expenses. What’s the point? My sink after 1 product, looks exactly the same as the video.

  42. @CharlesReedPi on February 10, 2025 at 7:39 pm

I would never trust anyone’s cleaning advice that doesn’t specifically mention metal polish and shine.

  43. @DosBlade on February 10, 2025 at 7:44 pm

Wow what are the odds your also an expert at cleaning stainless steel sinks. But where was the "secret". Click bait. Let me guess Bar or something like that was the secret? that anyone can buy at Walmart

  44. @Derrek84 on February 10, 2025 at 7:44 pm

First of all. That sink in not really dirty. I mean, come on!

  45. @magdalen5108 on February 10, 2025 at 7:48 pm

I get the same results with baking soda

  46. @sissymurphy9620 on February 10, 2025 at 7:49 pm

My pull out sprayer head comes off to clean it and at the same time i clean it ,I clean the shower heads and bathroom faucet screens . I soak them all for an hour

  47. @victorherreraguzman5014 on February 10, 2025 at 7:49 pm

You can replace CLR with Vinegar.

  48. @1957Bevy on February 10, 2025 at 7:49 pm

    Shaving cream works great!

  49. @MrMack65 on February 10, 2025 at 7:49 pm

I learned a trick from people who do clean up for empty apartments; for a high shine, spritz some orange oil, or lemon oil furniture polish (scotts liquid gold works as well) to the sink. It is temporary, but looks factory new.

If you let BKF sit too long, is there any remedy?
